LiveTransX ("we", "our", or "the App") is an on-device voice translation application. This privacy policy explains how we handle your data when you use the App.

            🔒 Key principle: All speech recognition, translation, and audio processing happens entirely on your device. No audio data is ever sent to our servers or any third party.
        

1. Data We Collect

Audio Input (Microphone): When you use the mic translation feature, the App accesses your device's microphone to capture your voice. The audio is processed locally on your device using Apple's on-device Speech Recognition and Translation frameworks, along with local ASR models (WhisperKit, SenseVoice, Parakeet, etc.). Audio is never transmitted off your device.

User ID (Optional): If you subscribe to LiveTransX Pro, Apple's StoreKit generates an anonymized user identifier for subscription management purposes. This identifier is handled entirely by Apple and is not shared with us or any third party.

Usage Preferences: The App stores your settings (language pair, display preferences, engine selection) locally on your device via UserDefaults and SwiftData. These are never sent to any server.

2. How We Use Data

Audio — Real-time speech recognition and translation. All processing is on-device.
User ID — Manage subscription status via Apple's StoreKit 2.
Preferences — Remember your app settings between sessions.

3. Data Sharing

We do not collect, share, or sell any personal data. The App has no analytics SDKs, no advertising, and no server back-end. All data stays on your device.

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following technologies, all of which operate fully on-device:

Apple Speech / SpeechAnalyzer — On-device speech recognition (iOS 18+ / iOS 26+)
Apple Translation — On-device language translation framework
WhisperKit — Open-source offline ASR model running locally
FluidAudio — Open-source offline ASR models running locally
StoreKit 2 — Apple's in-app purchase framework for subscription management

None of these services transmit your data externally. Model files for WhisperKit and FluidAudio are downloaded from their respective open-source repositories and run entirely on your device.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Translation history and audio recordings are stored locally on your device and can be deleted at any time by clearing the app data or uninstalling the App. We do not have access to any of your data, and there is nothing to delete from our side.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 4. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
